[NEWS] Park Shin Hye's Knees Hurt Before It Rains

We’ve heard our grandparents talk about how their bodies ache when it’s about to rain, but we never expected Park Shin Hye to be able to predict the forecast like this as well.

On December 25, Park Shin Hye appeared in the second part of the Christmas special for SBS’ Strong Heart, where she shared the aftermath of her car accident.

In 2011, when she was filming for MBC’s Heartstrings, Park Shin Hye was involved in a serious car accident, where her car was badly damaged.

“During the accident, I got a cut inside my ear. I went to the emergency room, but only resident doctors were there. The doctor asked if I wanted to wait for a plastic surgeon to look at it, but I was worried it would get worse, so I asked the resident to go ahead and sew it up,” shared Park Shin Hye.

“When we went to a plastic surgery clinic the next day, the doctor asked who gave the stiches because the cut was really tightly sewn up. It turned out to be a 1 cm cut, but the resident gave me 12 stitches for it."

Park Shin Hye showed gratitude for the resident for paying extra attetion to her and allowing her cut to heal without a scar.

She also shared that her knees were hurt in the accident.

“I was sitting cross-legged in the car while sleeping because I was uncomfortable, so when the accident happened, my knee received all the impact. So these days, when it’s about to rain, my knees start to hurt.

Although she explained the situation in a bright tone with smiles, netizens couldn’t help but to feel a bit of sympathy for the actress.

They commented, “I didn’t know her car accident was that serious,” “At least she didn’t hurt her face,” and “It’s a good thing it wasn’t worse.”

[VIDEO] Park Shinhye Hong Kong interview

During her short stay in Hong Kong for MNet Asian Music Awards and for tvN's Taxi filming, Shinhye stopped for an interview with cable tv channel iCable.

Girl Reporter: Korean actress Park Shinhye received high popularity with her drama role as Go Minam in SBS You're Beautiful. Her acting skills are highly complimented by audience.  Today, the young actress has come to Hong Kong to share her views on the difficulty of acting as a boy in the drama.

Shinhye: The audience knows that I am acting as a boy in the drama. But if I went too over with my role, the audience would think I was too fake because I am a girl, not really a boy. So it was a challenge for me to try to strike a balance, and try to think about how to act out my role to make it natural and realistic. So to me, grasping the gist of the role was the most difficult.

Girl Reporter: Because of her role as Go Minam, Park Shinhye has become very famous in Korea and also in Asia. Today, she is in Hong Kong to attend a large scale music awards show. Park Shinhye said she herself did not anticipate the popularity.

Your role as Go Minam made a lot of big changes in your life. Which do you think is the biggest change?

You're Beautiful was the first drama I filmed after I reached the 20s (age). I did not know that it would become such a hit and I am very thankful to everyone for the support. But I know that fame is fickle and comes and goes easily. So keeping the fame is a very difficult thing for me and I am working hard to keep it up. I hope that I can go to more foreign countries and meet more of my fans.

Girl Reporter:
Park Shinhye hopes that she can partner with Hong Kong actors/actresses in future projects and try out new things.

[PHOTOS] Shinhye at MAMA 2012

The 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards commenced in Hong Kong on November 30, and Shinhye was honorably invited as one of the award presenters among other Korean and overseas actors/actresses.

During her stay in Hong Kong, Shinhye filmed tVn's popular variety show 'Taxi/ with her upcoming drama's male lead Yoon Shi Yeon. The duo toured around Hong Kong, namely the central business area Central, and they also toured around the famous harbor-front in Tsim Sha Tsui, where the merriest and most extravagant display of Christmas decorations are put up every year.

After that, Shinhye got ready for her red carpet schedule, which was also with Yoon Shi Yeon.

When she appeared on the red carpet, the audience started swooning because she was the most beautiful goddess ever in the red gown she was wearing, captivating the eyes of everyone in the hall.

When asked why she chose the color red, she said because she wanted to be the 'red goddess of beauty'. There a unanimous vote of 'yes' to that wish of hers. Shinhye also mentioned that her new drama will be aired in January through tVn.

For the main show, Shinhye and Yoon Shi Yeon presented the award for Most Popular Male Group (to EXO).

When they were on stage, fans were screaming again because of her beauty. Yoon Shi Yeon joked that she looked different from 'yesterday's filming'. Shinhye said it was because for her drama's role, she was wearing rags during filming, but at MAMA she was well-dressed for the occasion.
